About Greg Sherman
Greg ShermanWith golf landscapes his specialty together with Florida and other landscapes the subject of many of his paintings, Mr. Sherman has been juried into several prestigious art guilds in Florida: The Professional Artists Guild of the Boca Raton Museum of Art, The Delray Art League, the Lake Worth Art League and the Boynton Beach Art League. In addition, he has exhibited widely in South Florida in open as well as “invitation” only shows.

For the past three years, Mr. Sherman has advanced his oil technique under well-known artist and instructor Martha Myers at the Armory Art School in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mr. Sherman grew up in South Florida and began playing serious golf at the age of twelve. Until a back injury in 1997, Mr. Sherman was a USGA registered 5 handicap. In the past, he was an active member of the Palm Beach County Amateur Golf Association and the Florida Golf Association. In 1987, he served as Marketing Coordinator and Press Tent Director at the United States Amateur at the Jupiter Hills Golf Club.

He is currently an associate member of the USGA and the PGA. He also served as Vice President of the Board of the Palm Beach County Junior Golf Association (PBCJGA) for several years. Mr. Sherman served as head coach for the varsity boys golf team at Cardinal Newman High School (West Palm Beach), a position he held for the past seven years. The team won its conference and district championships the past five consecutive years, and qualified for the State Finals in 2002 (placing 14th out of 16); 2003 ( 5th out of 16); 2004, 2008 (2nd out of 16).
